Why we started
Dear fellow dog people,
We started True American Pets because we love our dogs, we love our country, and we believe dogs helped build America, and still do.
They've stood beside farmers, soldiers, firefighters, families, workers and wanderers. They've guarded homes, crossed frontiers, comforted the lonely, served the brave, and made ordinary American lives better every day.
Some of the best Americans have four legs.
That's why Edition 01 starts with Sgt. Stubby: a stray found near Yale in 1917, taken to France, who served with the 102nd Infantry and became one of America's most beloved military dogs.
We're a small Long Beach, NY team building this brand with care, one product and one true story at a time. We believe patriotism can be classic, quality should be honest, and the story should always come first.
If the story isn't true, it doesn't ship.

The dog counts in the headcount
Everything we make is for the family that sets out one more bowl than it has people. The walk starts on the porch and ends there too.

A separate line
American Heroes tells one true story: Sgt. Stubby, the stray who went to the Western Front with the 102nd Infantry in 1918. It's the only place we fly the flag, and the rule is simple. If the story isn't true, it doesn't ship.
